Take part in perhaps the biggest, most exciting and challenging adventure activity of the South Outdoor Festival, descending into the canyon of Gjipe!

Descents of up to 15 meters by rope

Professional equipment

Beautiful Gjipe canyon in its full length

Move through rocky terrain, mud and waterfalls, while being surrounded by dramatic canyon cliff faces - walking and climbing through Gjipe canyon, from its beginning near the national road all the way to its mouth where it opens into the sea, is a truly thrilling experience.

The meeting point for this activity is at 10am by the national road, at the entrance to the canyon. After all the necessary instructions and handing out of equipment we start descending into the canyon. Participants for this activity need to bring a strong team spirit as well as decent physical fitness, as the way through the canyon takes around 4 hours of walking and descending - time may vary depending on the conditions in the canyon. The roughly eight descents are done by rope and cover heights ranging from 6 to 15 meters. Beware: After the first descent into the canyon there is no way back and participants are required to proceed all the way down. At the end of the journey there is the well-deserved opportunity to enjoy and relax at Gjipe beach, before a short walk back to the road, where transport is arranged to take you back to Borsh.
